- 3 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)

Instructions:
- Rinse the toor dal under running water until the water runs clear.
- In the Instant Pot, add the toor dal, water, onion, tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, and salt.
