Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Layer the sliced potatoes and onions in a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Pour over the potatoes and onions.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Notes:
For a creamier casserole, you can add a bit of heavy cream to the milk mixture.
