Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cubed
  • 20 oz Crushed pineapple drained
  • 8 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 0.5 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter melted

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread the cubed bread evenly in the dish.
  • Sprinkle the drained pineapple over the bread.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the bread and pineapple.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and set.

Notes:

Best served warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.
