Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Vidalia onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, sauté the onions in a bit of butter until they are soft and translucent.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed onions, cheddar cheese, crushed Ritz crackers, melted butter, milk, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
