Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until the mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Add Velveeta cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni in a mixing bowl. Transfer to a baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes:
For a crunchy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the casserole before baking.
