Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large pot, boil the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, salt, and black pepper.
Add the cooked potatoes to the mixture and stir gently to combine.
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and drizzle the melted butter on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
