Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups lima beans cooked
  • 6 slices bacon crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  • In the same pan, sauté the onions until translucent.
  • Add butter and flour to the pan, stirring to make a roux. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  • In a casserole dish, combine lima beans, crumbled bacon, sautéed onions, and cheese. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

Great for a cozy family dinner.
