Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
In the same pan, sauté the onions until translucent.
Add butter and flour to the pan, stirring to make a roux. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
In a casserole dish, combine lima beans, crumbled bacon, sautéed onions, and cheese. Pour the sauce over the mixture and stir to combine.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
