Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chili seasoning mix to the skillet. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Transfer the chili mixture to a baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
Top the chili mixture with an even layer of frozen tater tots.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
You can add extra toppings like sour cream, green onions, or jalapeños if you like.
