Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups Carrots, grated
  • 1 cup Rice, cooked
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter melted
  • 2 tbsp Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp White pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, cook grated carrots until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, milk, melted butter, breadcrumbs, salt, and white pepper.
  • Add the cooked carrots to the mixture and stir well.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Notes:

This dish is a staple in Finnish holiday meals. Serve warm.
