Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine the cooked egg noodles and cheese sauce in a mixing bowl. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

For a crunchy topping, add breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter on top before baking.
