Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits quick-cooking
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in cheese, milk, eggs, butter, and garlic until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until set and golden on top.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes:

For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon or sausage to the mixture before baking.
