Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add salt and grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in cheese, milk, eggs, butter, and garlic until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
Bake for 45 minutes or until set and golden on top.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes:
For extra flavor, you can add cooked bacon or sausage to the mixture before baking.
