Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups mashed yams
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed yams, brown sugar, melted butter, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Mix well.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle the mini marshmallows evenly over the top of the yam mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Notes:

This yam casserole is a great addition to any holiday meal. You can prepare it ahead of time and bake it just before serving.
