Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef shank cut into pieces
  • 500 g Potatoes peeled and chopped
  • 2 Carrots sliced
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper or to taste
  • 2 L Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  • 3. Add the beef shank pieces and brown them on all sides.
  • 4. Stir in the paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • 5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  • 6. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours.
  • 7. Add the potatoes and carrots, and continue to simmer for another 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • 8. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.

Notes:

For an authentic touch, serve with crusty bread.
