Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef Shanks
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 Carrots, chopped
  • 2 Potatoes, diced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions: 

  • 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • 2. Add beef shanks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 3. In the same pot, add onions and garlic. Cook until softened.
  • 4. Stir in tomato paste, carrots, and potatoes. Cook for a few minutes.
  • 5. Return beef shanks to the pot. Pour in beef broth. Add salt and pepper.
  • 6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 3 hours.
  • 7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to add other vegetables like celery or peas.
