Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 unit beef heart, cleaned and cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 unit carrots, sliced
  • 2 unit potatoes, cubed
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions: 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  • Add the beef heart and brown on all sides.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, thyme, and rosemary.
  • Pour in the red wine and beef broth, bring to a boil.
  • Add the carrots and potatoes.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
