Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs round steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions: 

  • Season the round steak with salt and pepper.
  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil.
  • Sear the steak on both sides until browned, then remove and set aside.
  • Add the onions and garlic to the Instant Pot and sauté until softened.
  • Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then return the steak to the pot.
  • Close the lid, set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 20 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing.
  • Slice the steak against the grain and serve with the onion gravy.

Notes:

For best results, slice the steak against the grain. This will ensure the meat is tender.
