Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes (28 oz each)
  • 1 unit onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Instructions: 

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  • Pour in the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir to combine.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid and set to manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.
  • Open the lid, stir the sauce, and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve over pasta or use in your favorite recipes.

Notes:

This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen for up to 3 months.
