Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  • Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the oil. Brown the patties on both sides and set aside.
  • Add the sliced onion to the Instant Pot and cook until softened.
  • Pour in the beef broth and place the patties back into the pot.
  • Close the lid, set to high pressure for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.
  • Remove the patties and set aside. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce in the pot to thicken.
  • Serve the patties with the gravy on top.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can add mushrooms to the gravy.
