Instructions:
Rinse the pinto beans under cold water and pick out any debris.
In the Instant Pot, combine the rinsed beans, water, onion, garlic, salt, cumin, chili powder, and bay leaf.
Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.
Open the lid carefully, remove the bay leaf, and stir the beans before serving.
Notes:
