Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dried kidney beans
  • 4 cups water
  • to taste Salt

Optional Seasonings

  • to taste garlic optional
  • to taste onion optional
  • 1 leaf bay leaf optional

Instructions: 

  • Rinse the kidney beans under cold water and remove any debris.
  • Place the kidney beans in the Instant Pot with water and any desired seasonings.
  • Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.
  • Season with salt to taste and serve as desired.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, consider adding a ham hock or smoked turkey leg to the pot.
