Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 10-ounce packages frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 14-ounce block paneer, cubed
  • Salt, to taste
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream

Instructions: 

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the ghee or oil.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is soft.
  • Add the cumin seeds, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Pour in the water and deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  • Add the frozen spinach and paneer. Season with salt.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid and set to manual high pressure for 2 minutes.
  • Once done, quick release the pressure and open the lid.
  • Stir in the heavy cream.
  • Serve the palak paneer hot with rice or naan.

Notes:

Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal.
