Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix together orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  • Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat vegetable oil. Remove the steak from the marinade and sear on both sides for 2-3 minutes each.
  • Pour the remaining marinade into the Instant Pot and close the lid. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  • Remove the steak from the Instant Pot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing against the grain.
  • Serve the carne asada with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes:

For best results, marinate the steak for at least 1 hour or overnight.
