Instructions:
Rinse the navy beans and pick out any debris.
In the Instant Pot, combine the beans, onion, molasses, brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, and water.
Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 45 minutes.
Once the cooking time is up, allow for a natural pressure release for 15 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.
In a skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy.
Stir the cooked bacon into the beans and serve hot.
Notes:
For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon or use a plant-based alternative.
