Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ham bone with some meat attached
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup dried split peas
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Place all ingredients in the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid and set the vent to sealing.
  • Cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Allow for a natural pressure release for 15 minutes.
  • Open the vent to release any remaining pressure.
  • Remove the ham bone, shred any meat, and discard the bone.
  • Stir the soup and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
