Equipment

  • Instant Pot

Ingredients:

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole duck (about 5-6 pounds), giblets removed
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions:

  • Season the duck generously with salt and pepper.
  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil. Sear the duck on all sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  • Add the garlic, thyme, rosemary, and paprika to the Instant Pot. Pour in the broth.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.
  • Carefully remove the duck from the Instant Pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  • Serve the duck with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Notes:

For a crispier skin, you can broil the duck in the oven for a few minutes after cooking in the Instant Pot.
