Main Ingredients
1
whole
duck (about 5-6 pounds), giblets removed
1
cup
chicken or vegetable broth
1
tablespoon
olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
2
cloves
garlic, minced
1
teaspoon
dried thyme
1
teaspoon
dried rosemary
1
teaspoon
paprika
Instructions:
Season the duck generously with salt and pepper.
Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil. Sear the duck on all sides until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
Add the garlic, thyme, rosemary, and paprika to the Instant Pot. Pour in the broth.
Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 25 minutes.
Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing any remaining pressure.
Carefully remove the duck from the Instant Pot and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.
Serve the duck with your favorite sides and enjoy!
Notes:
For a crispier skin, you can broil the duck in the oven for a few minutes after cooking in the Instant Pot.
