Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 onion, halved
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions: 

  • Add water, onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, miso paste, and sesame oil to the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  • Strain the broth and discard the solids. Season with salt to taste.
  • Use the broth for your favorite ramen recipe.

Notes:

This broth can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
