Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 8 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt with live active cultures
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions: 

  • Pour the milk into the Instant Pot and close the lid. Set to Yogurt function and adjust to boil. Let it heat until it reaches 180°F (82°C).
  • Turn off the Instant Pot and let the milk cool to 110°F (43°C). Remove any skin that has formed on top.
  • In a small bowl, mix the plain yogurt with a cup of the warm milk. Pour the mixture back into the Instant Pot and stir well.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to Yogurt function for 8 hours.
  • After 8 hours, open the Instant Pot and stir in the sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Transfer the yogurt to containers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes:

Ensure that the plain yogurt you use contains live active cultures for the best results. You can also adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
