Ingredients:  

Cake Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan that fits in the Instant Pot.
  • Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot, then place the trivet inside.
  • Carefully lower the cake pan onto the trivet.
  • Close the Instant Pot, set to high pressure for 30 minutes.
  • Quick release the pressure and carefully remove the cake.
  • Let it cool before serving.
