Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 200 g paneer, cubed
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 0.5 cup yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon biryani masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1.5 cups water

Instructions: 

  • Rinse the basmati rice and set aside.
  • Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat ghee.
  • Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, and spices. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add yogurt, paneer, and rice. Mix well.
  • Pour water and close the lid. Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Once done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
  • Fluff the biryani with a fork and garnish with coriander leaves.

Notes:

Serve hot with raita or salad.
