Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 French rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions: 

  • Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper.
  • Place the roast in the Instant Pot and add the onion, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 60 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for a natural pressure release for 15 minutes before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  • Remove the beef from the Instant Pot and shred with two forks.
  • Slice the French rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Top each roll with the shredded beef and a slice of provolone cheese.
  • Place the sandwiches under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve the sandwiches with the cooking liquid from the Instant Pot for dipping.
