Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions: 

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the ground beef.
  • Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  • Stir in the mixed vegetables, beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid and set to high pressure for 5 minutes.
  • Quick release the pressure and stir the mixture.
  • Spread the mashed potatoes over the beef mixture.
  • Set the Instant Pot to broil mode and cook until the potatoes are golden brown.

Notes:

For a vegetarian version, you can substitute the ground beef with lentils or a meat substitute.
