Instructions:
Rinse the split peas under cold water and drain.
Place all ingredients in the Instant Pot and stir to combine.
Close the lid and set the valve to sealing. Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully do a quick release.
Remove the bay leaf and use an immersion blender to blend the soup to your desired consistency.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes:
This soup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave.
