Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs venison roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • Season the venison roast with salt and pepper.
  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and brown the roast on all sides.
  • Add the chopped onion, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the Instant Pot.
  • Pour in the beef broth.
  • Close the lid, set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 60 minutes.
  • Once done, allow for natural pressure release for 10 minutes before quick releasing the remaining pressure.
  • Remove the roast from the Instant Pot and let it rest before slicing.
  • Serve the venison roast with the cooked onions and garlic as a gravy.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of red wine to the beef broth.
