basmati rice

chicken or vegetable broth

olive oil

onion, finely chopped

garlic, minced

cumin

teaspoon
turmeric
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4
cup
chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions:
Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
Turn on the Instant Pot and select the sauté function. Heat the olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
Add the rice, cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the rice with the spices.
Pour in the broth and give everything a good stir.
Close the Instant Pot with the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
Once done, allow a natural pressure release for 5 minutes, then do a quick release.
Fluff the rice with a fork, and stir in the chopped parsley if using. Serve hot.
Notes:
Optional: Stir in chopped parsley for added freshness and color.
