Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 bunches collard greens washed and chopped
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ham hock
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes optional

Instructions: 

  • Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  • Add the ham hock, collard greens, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 20 minutes.
  • Once done, do a quick release and carefully remove the ham hock.
  • Serve the collard greens hot with some of the cooking liquid.

Notes:

Red pepper flakes are optional for added heat.
