Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pounds chicken bones
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon peppercorns
  • Water enough to cover all ingredients

Instructions: 

  • Place all ingredients in a large pot and cover with water.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 12 hours.
  • Strain the broth to remove solids.
  • Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for later use.
