Ingredients:  

Apple Mixture

  • 4 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup water

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl, mix sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  • Place the apple mixture in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add applesauce, almond milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Stir until well combined.
  • Spread the batter over the apples in the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid, set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Once done, do a quick release and carefully remove the pie from the Instant Pot.
  • Let it cool slightly before flipping it onto a plate.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
