Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • Optional: chopped fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill)

Instructions: 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, yogurt, water, oil, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
  • Fold in the crumbled feta cheese and herbs, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
