Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions: 

  • In a large pot, brown the beef stew meat over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onion and garlic, cook until softened.
  • Pour in the beef broth and red wine, then add the carrots, potatoes, tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
