  • 4 cube steaks
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions: 

  • Season the cube steaks with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Dredge the steaks in flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil.
  • Brown the cube steaks on both sides, then remove and set aside.
  • Add the sliced onions to the Instant Pot and cook until softened.
  • Pour in the beef broth and deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  • Return the cube steaks to the pot.
  • Close the lid, set the valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  • Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes before manually releasing any remaining pressure.
  • Serve the cube steaks with the onion gravy from the pot.
