Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions: 

  • 1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • 2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • 3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  • 4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • 5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce and shrimp.
  • 7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes:

For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
