Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 6 Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 package Phyllo dough

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.
  • Lay out phyllo dough and brush each sheet with melted butter. Layer 6 sheets.
  • Spread breadcrumbs over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • Place apple mixture on top of breadcrumbs. Roll up the dough, tucking in the ends.
  • Place strudel on a baking sheet and brush with remaining butter.
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes:

Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
