Instructions:
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Stir in milk and beaten egg until smooth.
Insert wooden skewers into hot dogs.
Dip hot dogs into batter, coating evenly.
Fry corn dogs in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes:
Serve with mustard or ketchup.
