Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1/4 tsp Salt optional

Instructions: 

  • Pour heavy cream into the mixer.
  • Mix on medium-high speed until the cream separates into butter and buttermilk.
  • Drain the buttermilk and rinse the butter under cold water.
  • Wrap the butter in cheesecloth and squeeze out any remaining buttermilk.
  • Add salt if desired and mix well.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes:

Homemade butter is fresh and free from preservatives.
