Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions: 

  • In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  • Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
  • Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  • Stir in vanilla extract.
  • Pour into serving dishes and let cool. Refrigerate until set.

Notes:

For a richer flavor, you can use whole milk or add a tablespoon of butter.
