Salt
to taste
Instructions:
Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the plantain slices until they are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Remove the plantains from the oil and flatten them using a tostonera or the bottom of a glass.
Return the flattened plantains to the oil and fry again until crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove from oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt.
Notes:
Best served hot and crispy.
