Ingredients:  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 small Onion grated
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions: 

  • 1. Grate the potatoes and onion. Place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes and onion with the eggs, flour, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • 4. Drop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening them slightly with a spatula. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • 5. Remove the latkes from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Notes:

Serve with applesauce or sour cream for a traditional touch.
