Instructions:
In a large pot, add chicken, water, and allspice berries. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add onions, potatoes, carrots, garlic, and Scotch bonnet pepper. Simmer for another 20 minutes.
Add lime juice, salt, and pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve hot.
Notes:
This dish is best served hot and can be enjoyed with a side of Johnny cake or bread.
