Instructions:
1. Rinse and drain the soaked beans.
2. In a large pot, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
3. Add the beans, water, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes, or until beans are tender.
5. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
6. Serve the beans over the rice.
