Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions: 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  • Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.

Notes:

For a crunchy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the macaroni and cheese before baking.
